Leaving the familiar and moving to a new country is a journey filled with many challenges but also opportunities. The freedom can be exciting and thrilling, yet also confusing—especially for a whole family. For us, Thailand was a natural choice, a place where we found a unique connection, but one that was very different from what we had known. From these changes came the opportunity to build something new—not just a home, but also a new identity for our family and ourselves. The adjustment wasn’t easy. The cultural differences were felt in every step—from the unfamiliar language to the different smells and tastes. The streets, customs, and even daily interactions made us feel like strangers everywhere. Each day brought new challenges, and understanding that life here moves at a very different pace required a lot of patience and flexibility.

The biggest challenge was watching my daughters navigate an international school system without a shared language. The lessons in English, the diverse group of children, and the need to rebuild their social identities unsettled them. However, this was exactly what we had hoped for them—to gain the tools and the ability to cope, while we, as parents, provided them with guidance. We wanted them to experience different cultures, learn a new language, and understand the world through experiences rather than just traditional lessons. Despite the challenges, this enriched them and added valuable life skills.

Our previous lives were filled with anchors— a stable home, close family, and friends—and suddenly we found ourselves without any. During this journey, as the trend of relocation to Thailand continues to grow (a significant trend driven by different motivations), we found ourselves moving between three different homes in nine months. This constant change left us without a meaningful anchor and reinforced how essential a home is to feeling stability and belonging.

From our personal need to find an anchor, our real estate project was born...

After all the moves and searches, we realised how important it was for us to create a place that provides a true sense of home, both for ourselves and for others. It’s not just about walls and a roof, but about creating a space where people can feel at home in a new and challenging reality. This project was born from our personal experiences and our desire to offer stability and meaning to those looking for a fresh start.
